Adjust A Photo Nondestructively

Be creative to create your own adjustment layer with the powerful Adobe Photoshop CS3.

With Adobe Photoshop CS3, you can make a lot of adjustments to an image with the adjustment option that you can find on the image menu. Actually, if you made the duplicate from the background layer, you are able to adjust your photo with the duplicate without altering the original layer. But, if you are using that method, you will lose some data each time you try to change the pixels in the image. If you are trying to combine a few adjustments, you can lose much more pixel information.
However, you should not worry at all if you are using Adobe Photoshop CS3. With applying an adjustment layer instead, you are now having a chance to apply tonal and color changes to your photo without altering any values of your pixels. With using adjustment layers, you are able to try many settings and edit the adjustment layer. If you want, you can use the opacity or fill sliders to reduce or vary the effect of the adjustment. An adjustment layer can affect all of the layers below it.
