Customize Brush with Your Settings

There are a lot of tools that also have a customize brush options.
As a designer, maybe you already know that brush tools will be used many times and in many ways. Whether you edit images, design new brochures, or maybe you only paint for fun, brush tools are very important. You can even select various brush tools from the toolbox that will offer a wide variety of brushes in the drop down menu on the options bar. With the Photoshop CS3, you can modify the roundness, size, or much more other attributes that suit your own style. The best part is that you are now able to save your modified brush as your own custom brush style. Then, when you want to use the same style of brush, you can simply use that customized brush style.
There are a lot of tools that also have customized brush options. They are pencil tool, the close stamp tool, the history brush, the pattern stamp tool, the eraser tool, the art history brush, the sharpen tool, the blur tool, the smudge tool, the sponge tool, and the burn tool. In short, customizing brush tools for your project will give you many benefits. You will find yourself doing some experiments with all types of brushes. The best part is that you can save much more time with customized brushes with your settings.
Here is how to customize brushes with your settings.
- Click the brush tool. Then, click the brushes button to open the brushes palette
- Click the preset button. Choose the one that you want to modify to your own customized brush
- Click brush tip shape. The shape choices will be visible by you
- Click and drag the sliders to change the size and look just with your own style
- Drag the gray arrow and black handles to alter the angle and brush roundness. Just make sure to watch the preview window to see the brushstroke
- Click another attribute that you want to change. It is up to you
- Click and drag any sliders to change the size and look. Click another selection in the window and keep watching the preview windows
- Click the new brush button. It is placed at the bottom of the palette. The bush name dialog box will appears
- Type the name for your customized brush, then, click OK.
- You have now customized your own brush. Enjoy playing with the brushes and save your time with Photoshop CS3!
