Filling the custom shape with text

Filling the custom shape with text

There are so many text effects that can be done with using Adobe Photoshop CS3. Text typed is placed on a type layer. You can retain its vector based outlines. This Photoshop tutorial will discuss about it.

With that technique, you can scale, rotate, and skew the type just to fit your design. Then, with using the type tool, now you can place the cursor anywhere in an image, and then type the text and it flows along the edge of a path. Typing the text is important if you want to design brochures, scrapbooks, and many more design projects. This Photoshop CS3 tutorial will help you a lot.

Typing the text as a paragraph horizontally and vertically, as well as control the flow of the font to stay within a bounding box, can be easily done with using Adobe Photoshop CS3. If the text wants to be typed in rectangular shape, you can simply use the type tool to drag diagonally. Then, you need to define a bounding area as well as click and type the text. The bounding box itself is not limited to the rectangular shape by dragging the type tool. You can drag any shape selected from the custom shape picker with simply using the custom shape tool. The last part, you only need to fill the shape with paragraph text to create your own visual effect. Here is the Photoshop CS3 tutorial to fill any shape with text.

1.    Click the custom shape tool. Then, select the custom shape.

2.    Click the paths button.

3.    Click and drag the image to continue creating the shape. You can use shift to constrain the shape or press the spacebar if you want to reposition the shape.

4.    Click the type tool. Now you can choose the font family, style, size, and the color of text. Try to innovate and enhance it with your design. Do not forget to center the text.

5.    Click inside the shape. You will find the bounding box surrounds the shape. Type the text until the shape is full. With clicking and dragging the anchor points around the shape, you can alter the form.

6.     Click the commit button.

7.    Then, click another layer to view the text without any outline of the shape.

With using the text effect, your project design will be better. There are no more boring people when reading your project. All you need to do is create your custom shape tool and also the custom shape and fill it with your text effect. It is really cool.
